Description
Yerma is one of Federico García Lorca’s most powerful and moving works, portraying with poetry and rawness the suffering of a woman who longs to become a mother in a closed and oppressive environment. In this version directed by Paloma Mejía, the tragic poem comes to life through a staging rich in symbolism, light, music, and movement, enhancing every word and every silence. The company immerses the audience in Lorca’s universe, amplifying the emotions and inner conflicts of its characters—especially those of Yerma, whose voice echoes with strength: “There are things locked behind walls that, if they suddenly came out and screamed, would fill the world.”
